Vergennes Opera House

It’s time to complete the next phase in our Opera House’s restoration: installing a sprinkler system! Recent changes in VT fire code have moved this project to the top of our “to do” list. With the help of the community, the Friends of the Vergennes Opera House, in cooperation with the City of Vergennes, will complete this vital project by the end of summer.
 
We have already raised $60,000 of the $80,000 needed to complete this project through generous grants and fund raising events.  We are looking to our friends, additional grants, and foundations to help raise the remaining $20,000.
 
This project will insure the safety of our patrons and the nearly $2 million investment made in the Opera House to date.  Continued investment in the infrastructure of our historic building will guarantee that for years to come, our community will enjoy the variety of concerts and events that take place here.
